RAVE Sports was founded in 1996 by a team of entrepreneurs with a vision to bring innovative, alternative recreation products to people around the world. The following year, the company adopted the name RAVE Sports—short for Radical Alternative Vehicles & Equipment—and introduced the Aqua Jump™ water trampoline, one of the products that helped establish the brand’s reputation for inventive water recreation.

Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, RAVE continued expanding with water bouncers, towable tubes, pool floats, paddle boards, wakeboards, water skis, training products, and commercial waterfront systems. The brand also developed a number of patented products and features, including the RAVE Tail™, Aqua Buddy™, Splash Trax™, and Low Center Gravity waterpark rafts.

RAVE’s history also includes several major milestones, including the acquisition of AVIVA Sports in 2012 and its own acquisition by Escalade Sports in 2020. In 2022, RAVE earned the Water Sports Industry Association’s Innovative Product of the Year award for its Big Easy™ boat towable.

Today, RAVE Sports continues to focus on one thing it has done from the beginning: creating products that help families, friends, camps, resorts, and water enthusiasts spend more time outside and have more fun together.
